Maribeth McCarvill

Board Member

Maribeth McCarvill is a licensed architect with the Nova Scotia Association of Architects and a project manager in the Facility Design and Construction business unit of the Halifax Regional Municipality. She received her Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies and Master of Architecture at Dalhousie University, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University.


Throughout her years of work experience in consulting and project management, she has been engaged in multiple building sectors with various scales of project. She has worked professionally in Canada and Australia, giving her a perspective on construction methods in various climatic scenarios. Her diverse experience has enabled her to become very adept at communicating project complexities with community members, stakeholders, consultants, and builders. She is passionate about projects with an emphasis on cultural an architectural heritage, sustainability and accessibility.
