Every year, we honour individuals and organizations who have made a significant difference in the design and construction industry here in Nova Scotia at our annual Awards Gala. We provide the opportunity for the awards recipients to speak on stage and to receive their award, celebrating with all those in attendance. Building Better, Together Award: This award recognizes a project where at least two partners came together - across disciplines, organizations, or sectors - and worked with care, trust, and shared responsibility to deliver meaningful impact. We are looking for stories that show how strong relationships, thoughtful leadership, and collaboration beyond construction led to better outcomes for projects and communities. Cruddy Trowel Award: The Cruddy Trowel Award is for a notable achievement on a particular project or contribution to DCI. Unlike the other awards, the long-standing tradition is that the previous year's recipient chooses the new recipient, passing the award from member to member. Each year the recipient will add an object to the award, representing their personal connection to the industry.
