Ciarán Herir
Vice President
Ciarán Hehir was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland before moving to Canada almost ten years ago. He now lives in Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia with his wife Breanne (NS native) and two beautiful children – Rónan (3) and Maeve (1). Ciarán has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from the Technological University Dublin, which included a semester at Bishop’s University in Lennoxville, Quebec. He is also an Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) Certified Coatings Inspector.
Ciarán has worked across a number of sectors since moving to Canada. Starting with Clearfit, a Toronto based software startup focused on identifying and building high-performance teams. His first venture into the industrial sector was with Stopaq, an innovative coating and sealant technologies company and most recently with Arrow Construction Products where his role as Territory Manager allows him to combine his skills and experience toward a focus on business development, technical sales and customer service.
Confronting industry challenges with innovative solutions to achieve long term success is something that Ciarán is passionate about and hopes to continue through his various professional and volunteer roles here in Atlantic Canada.
Ciarán’s early volunteer experience revolved around his local Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club which is typically at the heart of most Irish communities. Over the years, he contributed through a variety of roles from coaching, to fundraising and events coordination, to being the youngest member of the club’s executive committee as their Public Relations Office (PRO). Since early 2020 he has been an active member of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Coatings Technical Subcommittee and contributed to the most recent 2022 versions of CSA Z245.20, 21, 22 & 30.
